Pierre Reverdy

Famous for his poetry, less well-known are Reverdy’s prose writings, which include essays on art and literature, as well as aphoristic journals reflecting on these and other subjects. Predominantly it is selections from these prose writings that are translated here in an ongoing project:

Cette Émotion Appelée Poésie (essays on poetry and poets)
Note Éternelle du Présent (essays on art and artists)
Le Gant de Crin (journal)
Le Livre de mon bord (notes 1930-36)
En Vrac (notes)
Miscellaneous (fragments, notes, etc.)
Poetry (various poems)
Others on Reverdy (poems, reminiscences, photos, portraits, etc.)
